search tips
-
Use a specialised search for specialist
search.
For example, it's easier to find fonts using a font-specific
search engine.
-
Use a number of search phrases to narrow your
search.
Looking for a car? Include the car's model, year and maker.
-
Reuse searches.
If the site didn't return the results you wanted, click the back
button to return to the Search Update category page: your original
search terms will still be in the text box.
-
Bookmark useful search engines.
Press [Ctrl] + [D] to add a page to your favourites.
-
Use advanced searches.
Most search engines have an advanced search page where you can
enter extra criteria. For example, at the Google Image search page,
you can specify the size of the image, and the colours.
